Dan
is a media professional with over
25 years experience. Bracken is a
CMU alum who earned both his undergraduate
and graduate degrees from CMU in
Broadcast
and Cinematic Arts.
His career at
CMU began with CMU
Public Broadcasting where he held a variety of roles
in both radio and television. In
1995 Dan moved to what was then “Instructional
Resources” and began producing
a wide variety of multimedia content
for CMU. That department evolved
over the years into what has now
become the Faculty Center for Innovative
Teaching (FaCIT).
In his current
role, Dan oversees a group of talented
multimedia developers and a staff
of student assistants and programmers.
He’s involved
with audio and video editing, new
media production, training, systems
administration and strategic planning
on a daily basis.
Dan is an active
musician, playing numerous instruments
and a wide variety of genres. He’s
active with the Wheatland
Music Organization’s programming
committee, and has been responsible
for recording their annual Traditional
Arts Festival for over 25 years.
He’s also an avid skier, one
of the few things that make Michigan
winters bearable for him. |
